Explore Our Crisis Services
Schools often find themselves supporting young people and families during moments of uncertainty, instability, or crisis. Whether the crisis is global, regional, or directly affecting a community, educators are asked to do something incredibly difficult: continue teaching while also helping students and colleagues process complex emotions and experiences.
Sea Change Mentoring’s Crisis Support Team exists to support school communities during these moments. Our work focuses on helping educators care for themselves, support one another, and respond thoughtfully to the needs of young people.
Our team includes experienced mental health professionals with specific crisis training, counselors, and coaches who have supported schools during major crises around the world. Members of our team have worked alongside educators and leaders navigating crises in Ukraine and surrounding regions, Lebanon, Turkey, and Sudan.
Our goal is to provide calm, practical support that strengthens community connection and helps schools respond with care, clarity, and resilience.
What We Offer
Support Groups for Educators and School Leaders
During times of crisis, educators often carry a great deal emotionally while continuing to support students and families. Many people benefit from having a space where they can check in with others who understand what they are navigating.
We offer virtual support groups for educators and school leaders facilitated by crisis-trained counselors and supported by members of our team.
These groups are not therapy. They are structured community spaces where participants can:
Talk about how they are doing
Connect with others experiencing similar challenges
Share ways they are coping and supporting their communities
Learn small practices that can help regulate stress and sustain wellbeing
Participants are always welcome to share or simply listen.
We typically offer 8-week support groups, and we also run leadership-specific groups for Heads of School and senior leaders who are carrying additional responsibilities during crises.
Learning Sessions for Educators
